ABOUT

Meet The English Coach…

Hello, I’m Sarah. Nice to meet you!

I am a Neurolanguage English Coach® based in the UK.  I live in a town in the North West called Macclesfield with my sausage dog, cat, and partner. I enjoy travelling, hiking in the countryside, doing yoga, playing tenor saxophone, cooking new recipes, and eating delicious food.

‍I’ve been teaching English since 2006 and have helped thousands of people from around the world to communicate more clearly and confidently in English. During my career, I taught in Thailand and Japan for a total of 7 years so I know how it feels to live and work in another country and culture.

‍In 2013, I moved back to the UK and have run my own business ever since, which has given me a deep understanding of the language, skills, and cultural knowledge required to succeed in business in the UK.

As a naturally shy and introverted person, I didn’t use to have much confidence speaking in English, let alone a second language! So, I know how difficult language learning can feel if you are a quiet person. But I did it… and so can you!

I founded The English Coach because I met so many business owners and professionals whose English skills and confidence were stopping them from growing their business, or achieving their dream career in the UK. I want to help all the talented people who are not currently achieving their potential due to confidence in their English skills.

I am a certified Neurolanguage Coach®, which means my methods are informed by coaching and neuroscience. Everyone is different. We learn in different ways and have different experiences and motivations, so a personalised approach is required.  This is what Neurolanguage coaching® offers. It means that the learning process is more efficient and you will achieve results much more quickly than in traditional language classes.

On an individual level, it is my mission to help you become the confident communicator you have always dreamed of so English is a gateway and not a barrier to your success.

On an organisational level, it is my aim to help businesses support their overseas staff with English and culture training as I believe clear communication is key to helping a business and its people thrive.
